To quote Mr. Spock in that original Star Trek episode where he played a Romulan spy:
“I am but a humble dealer of Kivas and Trillium. . . . . .”
I, Amadi Kyymm am just a humble writer, and a voracious reader.
Like Clark Kent, I maintain an unassuming persona while I hold a not so mild mannered job by night. I write when I have the time during the day, or on my days off. Or at times when it it very quiet at work, which are very rare.
I am a Baby Boomer.
I grew up watching, Flipper, Lassie, Bonanza, the Three Stooges, Mr. Ed, The Munsters, Superman, Petite Coat Junction, F-Troop, Batman and Robin, Mutual Of Omahas Wild Kingdom and STAR TREK. I became a fan of Star Trek the day it first aired in the mid 1960’s until the last show aired. I’ve also seen all of the Star Trek movies, even the very latest JJ Abrahms “adaptation” which all of the Old Guard fans (like me) hated with a passion. But, that’s another discussion, for another time and another blog.
I’ve been writing ever since my late teens. First fan fiction/written role playing games in various Star Trek clubs. Then due personal circumstances, I put my writing aside and did not write for approximately 20 years. About five years ago, as a form of therapy, I picked up the pen (in the form of my laptop computer named “The Old Grey Lady” and started writing again. First Star Trek fan fiction, then personal blogging.
Today I am currently maintain several blogs. One ongoing fanfiction work (Star Trek/Andromeda) named “Free Enterprise”, one Patriotic/Christian blog named “For God & Country”, one real life blog, temporarily named “In The Firery Furnace”, my mixed bag blog named “Radical Scribblings”, last but not least a blog with very raw samples of some of my writing named “The Story Hour”.
I’ve recently written a story which won NaNoWriMo2011 (a word race to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November) which I’ve turned into a novel. I am currently in the process of editing “Knight Riders” preparing it to be published by the end of 2012.
That’s my story . . . . . . . . . . .
P.S. The majority of the blogs I’ve mentioned above are currently being moved and are being renovated. I will provide links on this page once they “pass muster”.
